Wednesday Stuff

Saturday at 1 pm is the blessing of the Easter foods at our church AND the town Easter Egg Hunt as well. Every year we hope to do both but choose to do only the blessing of the food because that is what is most important to both my husband and me~ we want to keep this special holy tradition going in our family and we aren't willing to split the family up to cover two events. I wish that egg hunt time could be moved one of these years. Ah well, we'll do our own at home.

There's about 2 1/2 inches of snow out there today and its still coming down. The sky is gray and so is my mood I guess. I feel cheated somehow. At least the kids won't have school for 10 days after today~ Woot, we can sleep in!

Today we go shopping for the Easter meal~ fresh polish sausage, horseradish, ham, rye bread, potato salad and baked beans fixin's, candy for the baskets, & wine. I have to stock up on a few other household items as well~ coffee, sweeteners, milk, shower gel (The men here insist on using Irish Spring. J. asked if the Irish people wash with American Spring and wonders what that must smell like!).

Way before I sat down to blog, my daughter woke up (at 6:15!), before I even got N. up and ready for school. She's in a needy sort of mood today.. well, that's putting it very nicely! She had to have everything the same as N.~ cereal, combing hair, teeth brushed (while looking in the mirror, so I had to stand her up and hold her),...plus her pullup was bothering her hip, so I had to take care of that. Then she wanted a banana, so I got that. Then she wanted a hot cross bun, so I got that. Then she had an imaginary boo boo on her finger and needed a Madagascar bandaid, so I got that. Then she couldn't find her sparkle shoes and shiny necklace, so I found them. Then she got stuck in a corner full of toys, so I saved her. Then she wanted her turtle shirt and jeans because she couldn't see her purple painted toenails while in her sleeper, so I put the outfit on her. Her blankets were not just so on the living room floor and she couldn't reach the big moon pillow, so I had to arrange those just so. Se didn't want the cartoons on t.v.~ she wanted to watch the Spongebob movie, so that is on now.

I am done for now. I have officially said NO MORE! I'm sitting down and not budging for the next 15 minutes.
