Oh this IS Going to Be A Blessed Day!

First, I would like to mention I noticed Patrick Madrid is now following my blog! *gasp*
Hello and Welcome, Patrick! How fortunate for me~ Yesteday I traded in one less than stellar follower for this surprise one that's simply... awesome!!!!

Patrick Madrid's book Surprised By Truth (I have two copies~ one to loan out and one for personal reference) played a key part of my Catholic life for several years, and I suppose it always will be one of my most prized possessions. It helped when I couldn't quite explain the reasons for what we Catholics believe and do to my fundamentalist baptist family members and friends. It cleared up many of my own misconceptions, and thoughtfully and clearly explained everything~ from the perspective of former fundamentalists/ born again Christians/& fallen away Catholics themselves.

If you don't have a copy, go get one! It's wonderful. And... get a copy of the Catechism of The Catholic Church while you're at it. No sense being Catholic without even having one of those!

On to the news of the day~ from my home, of course. You won't see any of this on CNN. ;P
Today N. goes to penance with his CCD class. Oh, those priests taking confessions today are in for a treat, hearing the most secret and naughty things the 8 year olds have done! Lol
Later N. is making spaghetti sauce, using his Betty Crocker Kids Cook! book. With a little help from Mom, of course.
Then K's appointment, which was set for Sunday but had to be changed to today, will let us know if the super secret surprise is going to happen or not.... again stay tuned....
Whooo hooo! J. doesn't have track practice today. For once! Yeah... apparently yesterday's 7.5 miles was enough.......... slackers! lol

Tonight husband wants the whole family to go BOWLING! Oh, this should be fun. I look just.... stunning.... in bowling shoes. K's appointment sort of messed up our plans to go to the Butterfly Conservatory in Canada. So, that will have to wait for another Saturday.
