Things That Make Me Happy Today

The sound of the rain falling. All the snow is gone (for now!).

Another week that was peaceful with no dramatic events or illness in the family.

K is doing fantastic at his nursery job and the boss is already talking about raising his pay. He's apparently not used to kids that work hard! K. has also been working out and running again, so he's happy to be back in shape (not that he was out of shape, but he had lost muscle definition and stamina while sitting on his butt). And college is going fabulous for him, too. Honestly, working full time and going to school full time has shown me exactly how strong this kid is~ I'm so proud of him! Hes up at 5:45 am, works 7-4, school from 4:30 -8 or 9 pm, home for supper, workout & shower, and then he's in bed by 10. I know I couldn't have kept this schedule at his age!

J.'s grades are fantastic~ has a 94 average! I sent copies of his grades to his grandparents so he got a couple phone calls from them to congratulate and my parents sent him $25 as a reward for all his hard work.

N. is continuing to do great in the regular math and science classes. He got his orange belt with songs on his recorder and has finally stopped crying when I make him practice for 10 minutes each school night. This is progress!

Today our tax return should be desposited in our account. *grin* It had better be there!

My clean bedroom windows and freshly washed and pressed white curtains.

A newly organized linen closet. (I'm getting a jump of spring cleaning,)
